Klangstof – Hostage

Home to Grammy nominated producer ZHU, “Weight In Gold” crooner Gallant, and RnB duo THEY, LA based label ‘Mind of a Genius’ have announced the signing of Dutch producer, singer and songwriter Klangstof. Klangstof’s debut single, “Hostage”, premiered today on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 show.

It’s zany, ethereal, chilled and funky all at the same time. Nice.

Owen Rabbit – Denny’s

Owen Rabbit Denny's

The Melbourne based artist Owen Rabbit drops his new release ‘Denny’s’ today which follows up his breakthrough track ‘Holy Holy’. His songs are experimental and confident, traveling to dimensions and tones you are least expecting. Denny’s’ chorus is painfully passionate, addictive and unsuspecting. Make sure you listen below. Nice work Owen!

Still Weeks – Lungs

The fact that this mysterious outfit from Newcastle has coined the phrase ‘bizarre’n’b’ to describe their music is just great. Seeing as it doesn’t mean anything you can’t technically disagree.

Whilst their alternative intensions of their debut track ‘Lungs’ still shine through there’s no denying the fact that it’s just a pretty tidy pop song. Listen below:

Michl – Kill Our Way To Heaven

This debut release from Californian residing Michl is dark, intense and intriguing to say the least, it’s an enticing blur of Jack Garratt, meets Tor Miller and Muse if you like. In his track ‘Kill Our Way To Heaven‘, Michl gives a self-reflective view on the sacrifices of success, with a vibe of a calming urgency.  In his words, “I’m just trying to make art that can be challenging but embraced at the same time”
